The Shakedown is coming...

Join Half Fast Chicago in their 3rd running of The Chicago Shakedown. On Saturday 6/16/12 join your favorite group of Chicago gearheads on a ride thru the city's seedy underbelly. Barbacide Blue is now available

 Barbacide Blue is a custom mix of three different blues and two different silvers to come up with a heavy metallic color that looks like nothing else. Sometimes it looks more silver, other times it looks more blue. Either way it will def. get you noticed in a sea of “stock” clippers. Custom Helmets are coming...

The shop has teamed up with Nate Spainhower @ http://www.natespainhower.com to create a line of custom/one-off painted helmets. We will be starting off using the non DOT helmets from Biltwell, then moving into their DOT line. Look for the 1st three(3) helmets to be up for sale in the shop (and online) within the next month or so...

HangOver Shave Sundays 2012 start Sunday 4/22/12

This Coming Sunday 4/22/12 is the kickoff event for the 2012 season of our HangOver Shave Sundays. Just $20 gets you a haircut or hot lather straight razor shave, world famous MANbQUE burger cooked outside the shop, and a ice cold Half Acre beer.

The CBA is coming...

In the mid 2000′s, Kirk Merchant, owner of Truefitt & Hill barbershop, noticed that interest in traditional barbering was finally coming back after a long hiatus.  However, there was not a sufficient supply of either barbers or barbershops to meet the future demand.  So in 2008 he created the Chicago Barbers Association to promote the profession of barbering to a new generation.  Then, in 2010, he partnered with Joe Caccavella, Jr and together they have begun bringing Chicago area barbers together to network and work together to revive the industry.

Just $20 gets you a Haircut or a hot lather straight razor shave, world famous MANbQUE burger cooked right outside the shop, and a ice cold PBR to wash it all down. 10am to 3pm with Burgers hitting the grille @ 11am. Every month the MANbQUE guys will be changing up the burger to keep ya on your toes. Official event dates are below:
