Is this what it's come down too ?

* * *
Is this what it's come too ? Local “Barbershops” sending over females to get their hair cut at our shop just to cause us issues. Prank phonecalls from “competing” barbershops in the area. Other barbershop's stealing pictures that we post online and putting them up on their pages ! I mean, the frickin shop's don’t even look the same in the least genius ! Taking the words that I post, literally copying them word for word, and posting them as your own? Local shop’s befriending all of our “friends” trying to make them switch shops? Then once it comes out they “block” us from their social media? Like we care what they do. It’s getting so petty and so old. Is that good business ? Is this how you run your business? Is this how you want to portray your business to the public ? If I were a customer I would be embarrassed to tell people where I got my haircut. Joe Sr. started this shop back in 1968 and we are very very lucky to still be around today, and doing as well as we are. All of this social media stuff is fun, or atleast it was when we started it around 4 years ago. Now all it has become is something to check on to see what shop has stole our logo today, which shop is re-posting our pictures and words, and who I have to send out very large Jewish lawyer after next. We do what we do, and we do it the very best we can. Maybe other shop’s should focus on trying to do the same. – Joe Jr.

Saturdays...

* * *
Saturday has come once again. Saturdays are by far the busiest day here in our little shop. Our barbers work as fast as they can, but do not rush when it comes to cutting hair and shaving. Some styles and customers take more time to get in/out of the chair, some take less. We always have been a 1st come 1st served cash only non-appointment barbershop and that is NOT going to change.  We do what we do the best we can, and have said before we will put our $15 dollar haircut up against ANY in the city, no matter how expensive. Saturday ='s a crazy day, so if your planning on coming in today for a cut/shave, bring your patience, expect around a hour wait, enjoy the beer fridge, watch a movie, wait your turn in the chair, and enjoy a day NOT at work.

The word is Traditonal, not "Old School"...

* * *
What makes a good business ? Why do people go to one shop over another ? Back in the day businesses were built on quality, value, and keeping to what the business owner wants to offer to his customers. Now a days it is do whatever you can do to suck each and every person that walks in the door dry, give the least amount of service for the MOST price, skimp here and their to save a buck, Do whatever your customers want/demand to make more $$, etc. When did everything change ?

Places like our little barbershop are deeply rooted in the way things used to be. We are (and always will be) a first come first served, cash only, traditional barbershop (not a salon) for gentleman. We do NOT rush people out of the chair, we do NOT do haircuts and styles that we do not feel are traditional, we do NOT raise our prices every week to gouge our loyal customers, and we def. do NOT worry about what the other pop-up “barbershops” are doing down the street. Established 1968 means allot to everyone that works here at Joe’s , and it should mean something to you..
